Fairbridge, Historic Dockyard Chatham, 19th August 2010
Set up for this unusual gig was a breeze, all but our bear essential was provided for us. This was a fund raising Party on behalf of the Fairbridge Charity. Based in the Historic Dockyard Chatham Fairbridge works with young people aged 13-25 that other organisations find difficult to engage – giving them the motivation, self-confidence and skills they need to change their lives.
Our stage was set amongst the historic buildings in the open air. The Audience was an eclectic mix of young and old some in fancy dress.
Our drummer for the evening was our resident bass player and our bass player one of the Fairbridge lecturers who just stood in for the day !!
The Raffle was drawn and the prizes distributed (all donated by local businesses) followed by a short prize giving and we were ready to play our two sets. We had a great time and were pleased to be part of the fund raising for this very worthwhile charity.
